Fall Leaves Applique Crochet Pattern
With autumn around the corner (I know, so soon) it’s time to start changing colors to brown, yellow and orange. It seems like not too long ago the buds were just growing on the trees and now I’m seeing yellowing leaves everywhere. Luckily, it’s one of my favorite times of year and the start to festivities with family and friends.
To prepare, let’s get some seasonal motifs going. I absolutely love this leaf pattern and the Canadian in me can’t help but to want to make a bunch of red ones to save for July next year.
Michelle at the Painted Hinge has made a simple and fun pattern that’s perfect for fall.

You will need:
Red Heart Super Saver Yarn (Walmart has the big skeins for cheap)
Size 8 / 5mm crochet hook
PLEASE NOTE: For each leaf point, you will see instructions similar to this: “sc in next 4 sts. 3 hdc, ch 3, fold chain in half and sl st together, 1 hdc in next st. sc in next 2 sts. sl st in next st.” Please note that the part of the instructions that are bolded here go into only one stitch. The rest of the leaf points follow the same pattern format, though the stitches are different for each leaf point.
